About Mark Powell
Mark Powell, one of London’s most iconic and influential bespoke tailors, has opened the doors to his first shop in Carnaby over 35 years ago. The store holds all that is Mark Powell, including men’s ready to wear suits, coats, shirts and ties as well as bespoke tailoring for both men and women. Established in 1985, Mark Powell was one of the first to successfully bridge the gap between the traditions of Savile Row and contemporary street style and is renowned for his nostalgically and classically inspired tailoring, combined with experimental cuts and styling.
Mark has built a strong and established following over the decades and has dressed a distinguished host of names, including style icons Bianca Jagger and Naomi Campbell, actors George Clooney, Harrison Ford and Keira Knightley, and music legends David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Bryan Ferry, George Michael and, most recently, Paul Weller. He has designed costumes for the films Absolute Beginners, Shopping and Gangster No.1 and has also collaborated on menswear ranges for Michiko Koshino, Mulberry and PPQ.
