About The Palomar

The Palomar opened in May 2014 to great critical reception and fast became one of the most talked about and exciting restaurants in London. Serving the food of modern-day Jerusalem, a cuisine influenced by the rich cultures of Southern Spain and Italy, North Africa and the Levant. The Palomar has won numerous accolades, including the OFM ‘Best Restaurant’ Award, Tatler ‘Restaurant of the Year’ Award, and the GQ ‘Best Restaurant’ Award.

Siblings Zoë and Layo Paskin run and own the lively spot in Rupert Street in collaboration with Assaf Granit and Uri Navon from Jerusalem’s celebrated Machneyuda.

The kitchen is led by Tomer Amedi, who has created a unique menu by blending a modern approach to cooking with traditional techniques. Dishes are served as small plates designed for sharing, such as “josperised octopus with chickpea msabacha and burnt aubergine”, “Shakshukit deconstructed kebab with minced beef and lamb, yoghurt, tahini, cured lemon and harissa”, and “Jerusalem style polenta with asparagus, mushroom ragout, parmesan and truffle oil”. The wine list has been carefully selected to represent a range of innovative boutique producers from across the globe, as well as a number of well-respected grand marques.
