The Golden Mile of Vinyl
In the 1980s one of Soho's most famous streets, Berwick Street, became a destination for vinyl record collectors. Previously known as ‘The Golden Mile of Vinyl’, Berwick Street is still home to central London’s largest concentration of independent record shops including Reckless Records and Sister Ray.
Reckless Records
📍30 Berwick Street
Open in 1984, Reckless Records is Soho's oldest record store and the longest standing on Berwick Street having survived the ups and downs of the business over the years. Sister Ray

Starting out as a humble record stall on Camden Market in the 80's, Sister Ray has become one of London's most iconic vinyl suppliers. Discover two floors of new releases, classic albums and a collection of rare and second-hand vinyl.

This Record Store Day the Berwick Street store will be open extra early at 8am to make sure you can come and get whichever limited edition releases you're after as quickly as possible. All Record Store Day releases will then be available to purchase online, from 8pm on the 14th April.
Third Man Records
📍1 Marshall Street
Based on Marshall Street, Third Man Records is an independent record label founded by Jack White, lead singer and guitarist of the White Stripes. The London store is the label's first location outside of the USA, boasting an extensive collection of vinyl's and CD's, a token-operated recording booth and an intimate basement venue with live music events.
Phonica Records

Phonica Records is one of Soho's independent record shop stocking the latest vinyl and CD's spanning Reggae / Dub and Nu Jazz / Broken Beat to Techno / Minimal and Funk / Soul. The store also boasts an eclectic collection of deep and edgy club music, set in a store that transports you back to the 1970s.
